This past Saturday, I attended an anime convention with nine of my Anime club students. It was an interesting experience. It proved to be much different than my usual con experience but it was fun nonetheless.

I got there around 11, got my badge in under five minutes and met up with my group. They split up into little groups, chaperoned by an adult. This con only required a dollar donation as well.

The artists' alley and dealer's room was pretty awesome. Jewerly, phone charms, food, clothing, candles and other fun things were featured. I found whatever I was looking for. I bought a phone charm in the shape of a cake, a bracelet made from bottle tabs and buttons, and two candles named after My Little Ponies, Rarity and Apple Jack in the scents of perfume and apple cider respectively.

The candles are made out of soy wax, which means that they're great for the environment and the wonderful smells carry further.

I attended a variety of panels but I only remember attending the Masquerade and this one panel about roleplay that was really boring.

The cosplay there at the con was okay but nothing large scale. Youmacon was also promoting at the con, so I was glad to see my native con showing love. Anyway, great experience, can't wait to go to more cons this year.
